New South Wales Girls Group

On Sunday 17th May NSW Girls Group attended the NSW Boys Group Annual Ceremonial Parade, the Church Service was held at St. Patricks Church in Sydney. After the Church Service Squadrons formed up in Martin Place for the beginning of the parade that finished at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour. Special Guest for the 75th Anniversary Ceremonial Parade was The Governor of NSW, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO.

On the weekend of 14th/15th February 2009, the selection of the Cadet of the Year took place in Melbourne, it was conducted at the Victoria Group headquarters in Oakleigh. The successful nominees were annouced and the Cadet of the Year badges were presented to Corporal Stephanie Barnes, Blacktown Girls’ Squadron, New South Wales Girls’ Group and Corporal Samuel Ainslie Doncaster Boys’ Squadron, Victoria Group.

The Australian Air League is a national youth organisation for boys and girls aged 8 years and older. It's aims are to promote and encourage the development of Aviation in the Youth of Australia , to promote good citizenship, teamwork and to develop the ingenuity and resourcefulness of it's members.
