2014 AAL Review - Wreath Laying Ceremony Canberra

The Australian Air League is a non-profit youth organisation and offers girls and boys from the age of 8 years to adult the chance to develop Leadership Skills, Co-operation, Teamwork and Discipline. Members participate in Training, Education and Recreation Camps, Parades, Reviews, Excursions, Swimming and Athletics Carnivals as well as Community Work and Drill. They are taught practical subjects such as Craft, First Aid and many more. They may also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and the Compass Award.

There is also the opportunity to learn about aviation from the basics to more specialised subjects. Some Squadrons even have their own Bands. Flying Days can also undertaken at the Australian Air League Air Activities Centre at Camden, and there is the opportunity to learn to fly after they turn 14 years of age.
