Friday 25 April 2008 - Anzac Day Sydney


The Sydney Anzac Day Parade was attended by Squadrons from Camden, Penrith and Blacktown. It was a very wet and cool day but all cadets and officers are to be commended for their efforts on the day. To see photos from the Anzac Day Parade please click here. Anzac Day Parade Sydney

Saturday 8 March 2008 - Cowra Festival of International Understanding

On Saturday 8 March 2008 members of NSW Girls & Boys Group participated in the Cowra Festival of International Understanding. Squadrons from Lithgow and Sydney travelled to Cowra and together with Cowra Girls and Boys Squadrons marched in the Street Parade.

The Air League were most impressive with cadets carrying the national flags of over 40 countries, and the City of Blacktown band providing the music. A BBQ lunch was organised by Cowra Girls Squadron and a very welcome cold drink was provided for Air League personnel by Mr Bell, Group Commissioner of NSW Boys Group. A great day was had by all, and Cowra Girls Squadron would like to thank all Squadrons, parents and friends who attended and made it such a fantastic day. To see photos from Cowra please click here. Saturday 26th January 2008 - Tamworth Country Music Festival


On Saturday to celebrate Australia Day and help promote the local Squadrons, members of NSW Boys and Girls Goup travelled to Tamworth in regional NSW to take part in the Tamworth Country Music Festival Parade.

Squadrons represented included Tamworth, Hunter region (including Singleton and Maitland), Marrickville, Riverwood, Mount Pritchard, Sutherland Shire and City of Blacktown Boys and Girls. After a long, and hot march the Officers and cadets enjoyed a BBQ lunch put on by the local Squadrons and a trip to the swimming pools for a well earned break!
